Elephant House is a much-needed escape set amidst serene gardens that truly reflects tranquility. My family and I spent two nights here while exploring the incredible Addo Elephant Park, just a short drive away. Our accommodations were spacious and looked out over lovely gardens and a swimming pool. The king-size bed made for rejuvenating nights after our days filled with adventure. When it came to dining, breakfast was a highlight; fresh fruits and expertly cooked eggs were certainly a great way to start our days. After thrilling game drives spotting elephants and rhinos, we appreciated the opportunity to wind down with sundowner cocktails nearby. Reuniting over a glass of South African wine, the atmosphere became even richer as we swapped stories about our day's experiences. The ambience at the on-site restaurant offered a nice touch of country cuisine paired with a great selection of Cape wines. The staff was accommodating, ensuring our needs were met from special requests to helping with practical matters, like fixing our punctured tire. While our days were filled with exploration, Elephant House provided the perfect retreat, and we'll certainly consider returning.
